  • Inspect mobile plant and vehicles for current pre-use checks, guards, alarms, lights, mirrors or cameras, tires or tracks, brakes, seat belts, and visible defects.
  • Verify operators, riggers, signalers, and lifting personnel hold the required authorization or competency for the equipment and operation.

  • Inspect fire extinguishers, hose points, alarms, fire blankets, emergency access, and fire-point signage for location, condition, accessibility, and inspection status.
  • Verify hot work such as welding, cutting, grinding, brazing, or torching is covered by the required permit, area preparation, fire watch, and post-work monitoring.
  • Check flammable liquids, fuels, gas cylinders, chemicals, adhesives, paints, and aerosols are labeled, segregated, secured, ventilated, and stored away from ignition sources.
